LIVE BARNHART WEBINAR TO SHOWCASE ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS

On Thursday, June 7th, Jim Yates, PE, Barnhart Crane & Rigging’s senior vice president of engineering and technical services, will be featured in Industrial Training International’s (ITI) live showcase webinar presentation entitled ‘Heavy Intermodal Lift & Transport – Engineering Considerations.’

The webinar will be hosted by Mike Parnell, ITI president and CEO and will take place at 2:00 pm EST. Topics to be covered include: the need for engineering, lift planning and method statements, ship and dock considerations, and transport on barge, rail and trailers.   

Industry veteran Yates joined Barnhart Crane & Rigging in 1997. His current responsibilities include oversight of all engineering functions to support heavy lift, rigging and heavy haul services to all markets including, fossil power generation, wind turbine erection and maintenance, nuclear and DOE, refineries, heavy civil and general construction. He is a registered professional engineer in Connecticut, Tennessee and Alabama.

Yates and Parnell both serve on the ASME P30 Main Committee (Lift Planning) and are both active on the ASME B30 Committee (Cranes & Rigging).
