BARNHART CRANE & RIGGING DEDICATES NEW HEAVY CARGO TERMINAL AT PORT OF MEMPHIS

(MEMPHIS, Tenn.) – Barnhart Crane & Rigging Co. has dedicated its heavy lift terminal at the Port of Memphis, the company announced.
The heavy lift terminal, located along the Mississippi River, features Ichabod, a 1,250-ton derrick crane, as well as heavy storage and rail service through Canadian National/Illinois Central (CN/IC) railroad.
According to Jeff Latture, senior vice president sales and marketing, “Much of the equipment utilized by the power generation market has been arriving through the Port of Memphis facility. The terminal serves as a major intermediate storage area for cargo bound for projects throughout the central United States.”
Barnhart Crane & Rigging operates heavy lift terminal operations in Memphis and the deep water Port of Mobile, Ala., located on the central Gulf of Mexico. Warehousing operations for specialty equipment are also located in Memphis.
