Barnhart opened its Decatur location in 1992 as the company’s first branch outside Memphis. The branch began with a small team and four cranes, including a 125-ton Link-Belt HC-238 lattice-boom truck crane. Since then, the operation has grown into a full-service crane and rigging facility serving manufacturers, contractors and industrial customers across the region.
Conveniently located on the Tennessee River with port access, the Decatur branch is positioned to support projects involving oversized equipment, heavy components and multimodal transportation. The local fleet includes cranes ranging from 60 to 365 tons, with larger cranes and specialized equipment available through Barnhart’s nationwide branch network.
