Barnhart #1 American Crane Company in Recent List

American Cranes and Transport (ACT) recently revealed its top 10 crane-owning companies in North America in its Annual Specialized Lifting 50 list in the March issue. Barnhart was ranked #2 behind Dutch company Mammoet Americas, making it the #1 Specialized Lifting American Crane Company. 

ACT cast a wide net among specialized lifting companies across North America to compile the list. Companies were ranked for the SL50 based on ACT’s Specialized Index. This was determined by adding up the total capacity of all the specialized lifting equipment in the company’s fleet in US tons. Then companies were ranked accordingly from largest to smallest.

Memphis, TN-based Barnhart performs work in all lifting sectors in North America. Barnhart Crane & Rigging has 55 branches and 1,500 employees. With a SL50 index of 302,804 tons, Barnhart’s largest specialized lifting unit is a Barnhart Modular Lift Tower with a capacity of 6,000 tons.
