Proof Load Testing Case Study

Barnhart was hired to load test some custom girder clamps for a construction company. The clamps were 65T capacity, and the manufacturer specified that the clamps had to be tested with a 2% side load.

Barnhart provided a solution using hydraulic gantries to test the clamps by pulling at a slight angle.

The crew used Barnhart’s 500T gantry system, header beams and load cells to certify the test load.

A load certificate was issued upon completion of the load test.
